• Tiz wins 4 golds, a silver and a bronze at Black Lion Open on 4th/5th May 2013. Steph wins 1 gold, Brandon 1 silver, Ewan one bronze and  Matilda 1 bronze and one fourth place medal. Keenan and Oliver good PBs as well. Results here. PB sheets updated here. 11 medals in total - well done!

• BSS swimmers win 13 medals and earn 23PBs at Medway 3 on April 27th. Wow! Leigha - Gold in a new Club Record of 2.12.47 for 200m Free, Tiz - Gold, Heidi - Silver, Girls' relay - Bronze etc. etc. PB sheets updated here. BSS Results here. • Steph gets a SE Regional Qualifying Time at Canterbury Medley Madness L3 on Sat. April 27th of 1.26.20 for 100 breaststroke! Also she wins 4 gold medals and a silver trophy!

• Land training will commence for maroon hats and above on Wednesdays at 6.00pm to 6.45pm along Minster beach seafront  starting on Wednesday 24th April onwards. Trainers and suitable running clothes required. Swim training afterwards at 7pm as normal. 

• Seven Beachfield Swimming Squad swimmers helped Medway ASA retain the Meeting International de la Vallée de l'Aa trophy in Lumbres, St Omer, France at the weekend (12-14 April 2013) ahead of 10 teams from Belgium and France. In total BSS swimmers won a fantastic 22 medals and achieved 25 PBs. Leigha Mitchell came 2nd in the overall gala points table of the best female swimmers of the meet - just missing out on the best swimmer trophy.
• Tierney Gudgeon (14) won 3 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronzes. BSS girls' captain Leigha Mitchell (16) won 1G, 3S &2B, Jodie Mitchell(14) won 3S&2B, Oliver Durrant (12) won 1G,1S&1B and Stephanie King (12) won 1G &1S.  Boys' captain Josh Barber (17) and brother Luke Barber (15) also contributed to the winning points total and scored massive PBs. Unfortunately Ryan Pritchett (16) could not participate as he was taking his Lifeguard Qualification at Ramsgate that week. 
• 23 other swimmers representing Medway ASA came from Maidstone SC, Larkfield SC, Gravesend SC, City of Rochester SC, Sheerness SC and Sittingbourne SC.

• Again Matilda hits the headlines with a 33.56 LC = 32.96SC  in the British Schools' Biathlon 50m Free (3rd) followed by 2.43.47 in 200m Free at Rushmoor Royals and Hart L3 LC = 2.41.47 SC. A SE of England ASA Championship Regional Qualifying Time and a GOLD medal! What a star!

• There is no swimming at Sheerness Pool (it is closed) on Good Friday 29.3 and Easter Sunday 31.3. New session for Maroon to Black hats on Saturday 30.3 is ON from 9am to 10am. 

• The Bill Furniss Swim Skills Clinic is on 15th June at Sheerness Pool. Bill is the current GB Head Coach and Rebecca Adlington's long serving former coach. Letters/forms wiil be handed out this week if you wish your child to attend (or if you wish to attend - for adult swimmers). This is a great opportunity to be taught by one of the best coaches in the world. Fill in the forms promptly please and return to Natalie ASAP. Any unclaimed places will be offered to swimmers at other Kent clubs shortly, so don't miss out. Details of the cost for the day and programme/timings are in the letter. 
• We are pleased to announce an extra swimming session on Saturdays from 9am to 10am for Maroon/Bronze Hat swimmers and above at Sheerness Pool. This begins on Saturday 30th March. This brings our swimming to 8 hours 30 mins per week at a bargain price of £8 per week.

• Leigha Mitchell wins bronze in 100m free at Kent Schools' Champs on Saturday 26th Jan. - 4th place medal in 100m Fly as well! Tiz is 5th in 100m back. Steph 4th place medal as part of Rochester Grammar's Medley Relay Team. Well done girls.  

• Brandon Harris gets bronze in 50m back at Medway 1 on Feb. 2nd. Girls' Relay team of Jodie, Daisy, Lilly and Tiz also win bronze. • Good luck to the seven BSS swimmers who have been selected to represent the Medway ASA in their respective age groups at the Annual Gala of St Omer in France in April 2013. They will join swimmers from Maidstone, Black Lion, Gravesend, Larkfield, City of Rochester, Sheerness and Sittingbourne in representing the Medway region. Well done to BSS captains Leigha Mitchell and Josh Barber, and also to Ryan Pritchett, Luke Barber, Tierney Gudgeon, Jodie Mitchell, Oliver Durrant and Stephanie King on gaining selection. • The new Squad System starts on Tuesday 23rd October 2012.Please be patient - we have tried to allocate each swimmer to the most appropriate squad but recognise that there may be changes required over the next few weeks.
• Well done to Matilda Durrant for coming 3rd in the Kent Schools' Yr 5 Biathlon on 21.10.12 - a superb 34.31 in the swim (PB). Also to Aiden Sharp a fabulous 3rd in the Yr 9 event and Kara Atkinson a pleasing 13th in the Yr 5 event.
